Santa Clara received its name through the establishment of the eighth mission, Mission Santa Clara, named for Saint Clare. Santa Clara was a farmland for many years but is now one of the biggest tech cities with a large population of 125,948 as of 2016.

Santa Clara, the new home of the 49ers, offers many amenities at their new Levi Stadium such as sports games and concerts. Just next door to the Levi Stadium is a 100-acre amusement park, California’s Great America. Santa Clara is also home to many big tech companies such as Intel and Nvidia.

About 56% of residents in this community have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher. The median household income in 2016 was $102,533.

Santa Clara’s population is quite diverse and consists of a mixture of Caucasian, Asians, and Hispanics. The median age of a Santa Clara resident is relatively young, at 34 years old.

Currently, the average home sale price for this tech community is $1.2 million.
