OCD Meets 38 Feet of Chaos: My Latest Dance Studio Glow-Up

If you’ve known me for a while, you know dance is a big part of my life—I’m in the studio multiple days a week. But recently, something other than dancing caught my eye: the chaotic little 38-foot storage area off to the side of our studio.

It was originally meant to store props, costumes, water bottles, and everyone’s bags during class… but over time, it became a bit of a dumping ground. And for someone with a touch (okay, a lot) of obsessive-compulsive tendencies, it became impossible to ignore.

So I did what any organization-obsessed person would do: I took over. I squeezed time out of my already packed schedule to plan the layout, buy the right cabinets, and bring in someone to help with installation. The result?

✨ A clean, functional, and stylish storage space

🏆 A wall rack just for our trophies (because, obviously)

📦 Maximized vertical space thanks to our 115-foot floor height

🧺 Smart zones for props, costumes, and student belongings

It may have started as a simple fix, but this little project brought me so much joy. There's something incredibly satisfying about turning clutter into calm—especially in a space that holds so much energy and creativity.

We’re already halfway through 2025 (can you believe it?), and I’m just grateful to keep finding meaning in the small things… even if they start with a minor OCD episode. 😅
